Riveted Left Tank Ribs
Tonight we riveted the completed LE to the left spar. First you cleco the LE to the spar and begin by riveting the LE ribs to the spar. This is easier said than done. The rivet heads are so close the the rib that it makes it difficult to get your set square on the rivet head. The first few rivets we did were not good. I had to drill them out. They progressively got better as we moved along the ribs. We used the offset rivet set. I talked to my friend Eric about how he did this and he said he used pop rivets.

I wire tied the flop tubes tonight as well. The ones I got were pre drilled.

Here is a shot of the completed W-423 attach plate. It was primed before I riveted it in place.
