Finished Tie Downs
Here is the tie down bracket after I riveted everything together. Notice I did not drill the lightening holes in the spacers? I forgot. Oh well, my plane will be 1/2oz heavy!
Building the tie down brackets was the first real lesson in AN hardware. There are lot's of bolt sizes. I picked up this handy bolt gage from Wicks a while back when I was at one of their booths. It comes in real handy.

The back side of the spar after everything was torqued to spec. The orange stuff is torque seal. These are the aileron brackets.

The finished product. I got the tie down eye bolts from Avery.
